Important features of the bathroom: leathered quartzite stone, intricate tile design, dramatic walk-in shower and free-standing tub, elegant moldings, & neutral tone-on-tone palate augmented by light/dark contrast.
Inspired by: the beauty of natural materials and organic forms, ancient architecture in southern Europe, & human-centered design.
My favorite details: the shelf behind the bathtub for discrete bathing items, the sophisticated fittings & fixtures, (especially the Veil tub by Kohler, and Rook collection from Brizo), the drama of the curved shower entryway & the rain glass that repeats the nature-motif in the design.
Luxurious master bath featuring heated floors, walk-in shower & freestanding tub
The design aimed to maximize the shower footprint and increase the size of "his" and "her" vanities. This was achieved by creating a curved entry to the shower and selecting an asymmetrical tub that continued that curve.
Other area of the home remodeled: the hall bathroom. The materials and design in the hall bathroom were selected for their consistency with the master bathroom, creating coherency in the home.
